ABOUT
Well, now you're here, who are we? Let's start at the basics.

Air Austral is an airline that is based in Réunion Island, which is a French Overseas Territory around 900 kilometers east of Madagascar. Réunions largest city is Saint-Denis, which is home to the busiest airport on the island, Aéroport de La Réunion Roland Garros, RUN, FMEE. This is the base of Air Austral, the native airline to the island. Air Austral has a total of 14 destinations, 12 of which are overseas. In Infinite Flight, we have a total of 3 Air Austral liveries on the Airbus A380, Boeing 777-200LR and the Boeing 787-8. International Focus Cities include Paris, Marseille and Bangkok, and there are many short islands hops you can complete in the Q400, acting as the ATR-72 500, which can be flown out of both Roland Garros, and the islands smaller commercial airport, Saint-Pierre Pierrefonds Airport, ZSE, FMEP.

At Air Austral Virtual, we like to do things a little differently, so we have included Historic routes in our database for you to fly, anytime. Destinations include Nouméa, Sydney, Marseille, Bordeaux, Nantes, Toulouse, and Lyon which can all be flown either with the 777-200LR or 777-200ER, it's up to you!

Operations
We at Air Austral Virtual like to keep things simple, so below are all of our requirements, training (Or lack of it) and ranks.
To join, you must meet the following requirements
- Grade 3
- 125 flight hours
- 20,000 XP
- 75 Landings
- Under 5 reports in 2 years
- Have an active IFC account (Infinite Flight Community)
- Have a legal, active Infinite Flight live subscription.
- Have the ability to log 1 flight a month
​
Apon joining, we simply need to see a flight you have completed with some sort of communication with IFATC. Thats it! Welcome to Air Austral Virtual!

Ranks:
Cadet: 0-5 hours
Second Officer: 5-15 hours
First Officer: 15-30 hours
Captain: 30-60 hours
Neiges Bronze Award: 60-120 hours
Neiges Silver Award: 120-160 hours
Neiges Gold Award: 160+ hours

Due to our lack of aircraft compared to other VA's, all of Air Australs fleet and routes will be available to you upon joining. Possible codeshare routes are available at the First Officer Rank.

Fleet
Short Haul Fleet
Because we don't have the ATR series in IF, we must settle for the next closest aircraft, the Q400!
Here we have the world's short haul work horse, the 737-800!
Long Haul Fleet
The only aircraft in IF with the current Air Austral livery, the 787-8, and what a beauty it is!
The most widely used aircraft in the Air Austral fleet, the might 777-300ER!
So unfortunate that the A380 was never seen in the Air Austral livery, such a stunner!
Historic Fleet
